Long after all the free agent frenzy had passed, there was still one elite pass rusher out there. Ezekiel Ansah hadn’t been signed because he was waiting for his surgically repaired shoulder to heal so he could sign the best deal possible in accordance with his skillset. That plan worked as he is now expected to sign with the Seattle Seahawks according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Former Lions’ DE Ziggy Ansah is expected to sign with the Seattle Seahawks, per a league source. Seattle lands a veteran DE to help offset the loss of DE Frank Clark, who was traded to KC.

The Raiders inexplicably didn’t partake in signing one of the edge rushers out there back in March and there was no indication they went after Ansah either. They were content on going into the draft in desperation mode, giving them no choice but to reach a bit for Clelin Ferrell at fourth overall when no trade offers came in.
Ferrell was joined by fourth round pick Maxx Crosby out of Eastern Michigan. Those two plus the addition of Benson Mayowa and Arden Key entering his second year appear to be enough for a team that had the worst pass rush in the league by a country mile last year. Cuz it isn’t lack of cap space. Even when factoring in the rookie pool, they have over $20 million to spend right now.
Today was the first day in which free agents could be signed without counting against the compensatory draft pick formula. Here are the best free agents still out there.
