As the NFL continues to try and build its brand overseas, the slate of NFL games that are played in London each season grows. This year there are four games scheduled to take place in London, the Raiders vs Bears game is being played for the first time in the new Tottenham Hotspur stadium.

As a lead-up to this year’s games, each team playing in London this year will be sending an ambassador the first week of July to represent them for the NFL Academy. For the Raiders that will be linebacker Tahir Whitehead.

The NFL Academy is a program that gives as many at 80 aspiring young American football players the chance to develop their skills and knowledge of the game. Alongside elite coaching, athletes will study courses of their choice at Barnet and Southgate College in London.
