Raiders vs. Rams second half open thread

NFL: Preseason-Los Angeles Rams at Oakland Raiders Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

Football is back, baby, and the first half of Raiders vs. Rams is in the books with Oakland on top 7-3. The stout Raiders defense has rendered the Rams offense totally inept, stuffing the Los Angeles attack at every turn.

Oakland got on the board first with a seven-yard touchdown run by Deandre Washington up the gut on the Raiders’ first drive. The Rams were shut out until the latter part of the second quarter when they managed a field goal on a short field.

Mike Glennon has been the quarterback for Oakland, and has thrown for nearly 200 yards, but he’s thrown two picks on some really ugly forced throws. Other than those two passes, he’s been stellar. The Raiders have held the Rams’ signal callers, Blake Bortles and Brandon Allen, to 7/14 passing and 77 total yards. Total domination by the Raiders D.

We’ll surely see the GOAT Nate Peterman in the second half, so let’s find out if he can lead Oakland to a win.
