Tuesday the Raiders made a few roster moves. First they waived former 5th round punter Johnny Townsend and cornerback Hamp Cheevers a day after claiming him off waivers from the Falcons.
To fill those spots, the team brought back DB Makinton Dorleant and added CB Joshua Holsey.
Dorleant spent last season on the Raiders’ practice squad and was re-signed to a reserve/future free agent this past January. The 5-11, 182-pound defensive back also spent his first two season with the Packers. Last season he spent time with the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs.
Holsey, was a 7th round pick by Washington in the 2017. Over his first two years, Holsey has appeared in 13 games, seeing action primarily on special teams while adding two tackles and one fumble recovery on defense.
