Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger feels like there was love lost between he and his former receiver Antonio Brown. AB very clearly disagrees. Recently Big Ben said something that sounded vaguely like an apology or at very least some regret for openly criticizing Brown late last season for his route running.
“Yeah, I wish I wouldn’t have done it,” Roethlisberger told Michele Tafoya. “Because obviously we saw what happened and obviously it ruined a friendship. I just got caught up in the heat of the battle.”
Good for Roethlisberger for showing contrition. But AB is having none of it. The receiver who had 7-straight Pro Bowl seasons catching passes from Roethlisberger clapped back hard at his former QB’s recent comments.
“Never friends,” Brown said of he and Roethlisberger. “just had to get my ends......shut up already.”

Damn. We haven’t Roethisberger get smacked like that since Richard Seymour.
Clearly AB feels differently about the situation. At the time Roethisberger originally made his remarks, Brown struck a very different tone, saying “Ben’s my guy, man. I love him. Anything he says, there’s a method to his madness.”
That was when they were teammates. They’re not teammates anymore and clearly not friends either. Maybe they never were.
