Jon Gruden seems to like signing his brother’s former players. Today they added running back Mack Brown who has played 12 of his 13 NFL games in Washington for Jon’s brother Jay Gruden.

During the off day, the Raiders worked out a couple of running backs. Brown got the nod. The 5-11, 213-pounder gives the team six running backs and one fullback.

Brown began his career as an undrafted free agent in 2015 and later signed with the Houston Texans. He spent the majority of his rookie season on the Redskins’ practice squad and appeared in 12 games over three seasons (2015-17) with the club prior to his stint with the Minnesota Vikings (2017-18). Over his career, Brown has compiled 16 rushing attempts for 111 yards and one score, while adding two receptions for nine yards.

Brown attended Florida for five seasons (2010-14) and appeared in 49 games before entering the NFL. During his time with the Gators, he recorded 210 carries for 805 yards and four touchdowns, while hauling in 18 passes for an additional 78 yards.

In a corresponding move, the Raiders have waived G Lukayus McNeil, who signed with the team this past spring as an undrafted free agent out of Louisville.
