Raiders have reportedly looked in to trade for LB Kiko Alonso from Dolphins

With the first surprising move by the Raiders today, they released linebacker Brandon Marshall. That meant either Nicholas Morrow would step into the starting weakside linebacker spot or the team would be looking elsewhere for a new starter. They may or may not be ultimately ok with Morrow at that spot, but not without first attempting to bring in an established starter.

Rather than wait for a viable starter to miraculously hit the market, the Raiders are seeking to fill the spot via trade. Kiko Alonso wants out of Miami (along with everyone else right now) and the Raiders are among those looking to make a deal to get him.

The former 2nd round pick has been a full time starter for the Dolphins the past three seasons. He has ten career interceptions in six NFL seasons with the Bills, Eagles, and Dolphins, including three last sesaon. He has also had at least 114 tackles each of the past three seasons. He is a proven talent and is still just 29 years old.
