While Keelan Doss decided to seek opportunities elsewhere, another familiar face in the Raiders’ WR corps has elected to stick around.
WR Marcell Ateman is signing with #Raiders practice squad, per league sources.

Ateman was one of the odd men out in the Raiders’ receivers group this year with Oakland bringing so many talented wideouts on board, but he did start a few games in Silver and Black last season when the Raiders’ cupboard was bare at that spot and he performed quite well.
Ateman’s height at 6’4” is his biggest asset, and his hands are fairly reliable. He can high-point a ball well and was Derek Carr’s top target during the latter part of 2018. That rapport with Carr should come in handy if Ateman is called into action at any point during the 2019 campaign. Along with Lester Cotton and Anthony Rush, Ateman is the third known signee to Oakland’s practice squad.
