After cutting the roster down to 53 players this weekend, the Raiders have signed several guys back and also brought in a few new players to make up their practice squad for 2019. Here’s the full list:

Marcell Ateman WR 6-4 216 2 Oklahoma State

Quinton Bell DE 6-4 253 R Prairie View A&M

Lester Cotton Sr. G 6-4 335 R Alabama

Damarea Crockett RB 5-11 225 R Missouri

Rico Gafford WR 5-10 185 1 Wyoming

Dylan Mabin CB 6-1 195 R Fordham

Nick Nelson CB 5-11 205 2 Wisconsin

Justin Phillips LB 6-0 235 R Oklahoma State

Anthony Rush DT 6-5 350 R UAB

Eric Saubert TE 6-5 253 3 Drake

This list includes some guys who really impressed during the preseason, including DT Anthony Rush and WR Rico Gafford. Even if they’re a little raw for the main roster right now, they can develop with the team and give it another shot next year or fill in for the Raiders in case of injury this season. Lester Cotton is also an important guy to keep around given Oakland’s shoddy depth at guard.

Nick Nelson and Marcell Ateman make the squad, and while it’s great that Oakland has better depth players than them, they both do have some talent. The Raiders also brought in some guys from other teams, including Saubert and Crockett. The latter is most intriguing, with blazing speed and a history of production at Missouri. We’ll see if any of these guys make an impact this season.
