With the noon games in our rearview mirror, there is still more NFL action today with the afternoon’s slate of games yet to go. We have a couple of divisional rivalry games going down with the Seahawks taking on the Cardinals in the NFC West, and the Vikings and Bears facing each other for the black and blue NFC North division.
There is also a matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers if the other two didn’t float your boat. Lastly, the Denver Broncos take on the Jacksonville Jaguars as well.
The game of the week out of these matches is clearly the battle of two 2-1 teams in the Vikings against the Bears. This game should be a slugfest match between two of the best defenses in the NFL. The Vikings clearly have the better offense behind Kirk Cousins and Dalvin Cook but the Bears are the ones who feature the best player in the game which is former Oakland Raider LB Khalil Mack.
Don’t count the Cardinals-Seahawks game out just yet though, these two teams also have a history of knock’em down, drag it out matchups themselves. It will be rookie QB and first overall pick Kyler Murray’s first chance to take on Russell Wilson and the Seahawks, and it should be an interesting match between these two electric playmaking passers.
As for the Rams against the Bucs, you never know what can happen on any given Sunday but if things go as they should you’d definitely expect a Rams victory in that one. The tandem of Jared Goff and Todd Gurley when clicking is one of the best duos in the NFL, it’s probably too much for the Jameis Winston led Buccaneers but that’s why they play the games!
Then there’s the Broncos-Jaguars game, good chance that one will be a sack fest with the Jaguars defense being on fire and the Broncos defense featuring two of the best pass rushers in the game that are ticking time bombs to finally start producing in 2019. Bradley Chubb and the vaunted Von Miller both have been ridiculously quiet so far this season, so why not wake up and take it out on rookie QB and 70’s mustache aficionado Gardner Minshew.
Chat here in our open thread with your fellow Raiders fans while these late games go down.
