It didn’t seem possible but Raiders wide receiving corps looking even worse this week

How does the Raiders wide receiving corps actually manage to keep looking worse and worse? The most shocking revelation in this week’s inactive list against the Colts was that JJ Nelson will not play. He is inactive along with Dwayne Harris. And Ryan Grant was cut last week.

The Raiders receiving corps is at least lucky to still have starter Tyrell Williams. After him it’s rookies Hunter Renfrow and Keelan Doss and newly signed Trevor Davis who is almost exclusively a return specialist with 9 career receptions.

Renfrow is now the team’s second leading receiver with 9 catches, but he plays in the slot which means Doss could start. As well as Doss played in the preseason, he has yet to catch a pass in a regular season game. And he could start.

Remember when the receiving corps was Antonio Brown, Tyrell Williams, Ryan Grant, JJ Nelson, and Hunter Renfrow? That was three weeks ago. Life comes at you fast.
