Green Bay Packers v Chicago Bears

Greetings, Raider Nation! Welcome to Week 1 of the 2019 NFL season, the 100th in the long and storied history of the National Football League. This year will surely culminate with a Super Bowl victory for the Raiders, but it begins with a game between two of the oldest rivals in the history of pro football- the Packers and Bears.

Both these teams were around at the founding of the league, the Bears as the Decatur Staleys and the Packers just as they’ve always been. George Halas turned the Bears into a barnstorming powerhouse and Curly Lambeau and Vince Lombardi turned the Packers into champions and Lambeau Field into Titletown. This is the NFL100 Game of the Week, just as Green Bay’s midseason game against Oakland will be.

These two teams met in Week 1 of last season, and khalil Mack was his usual one-man wrecking crew, but A. A. Ron Rodgers led the Packers to an unlikely comeback win. Mack and the Bears will have revenge on their minds at home tonight.

Can the Bears get off to a strong start or will the Packers show they’re not ready to cede control of the division just yet? Find out at 5:20 Pacific time on NBC.
