After Antonio Brown swallowed his pride and standing in front of his Raiders teammates to apologize for his actions including threatening to hit GM Make Mayock in the face, the team sent him to the podium to make a statement to the media.

“I’m excited to be out here today,” said Brown. “I apologized to my teammates and the organization. Enough talk, man. I’m excited to be out here with my teammates. I’m grateful for all the fans. I’m excited to be a part of the Raiders and see you guys soon.”

Apologizing, putting his head down and falling into line is the price Brown must pay to make it to opening day without being suspended and thus losing the $29 million in guarantees he has coming. It’s the latest swing in the rollercoaster ride he and the rest of us have been on since he signed with the team this offseason.

Hopefully it isn’t the sound of the ticking as the car makes its way up another incline.
