Guess explanations are in order, so to start - personally, I feel like Mayock will trade back @ #19 and possibly a couple more times from there. Sort of a repeat of the last draft. Would make a lot of sense for the organization to want more selections in the Top 100, and I could see them wanting an early pick on Day 2. So that explains how we've ended up with multiple 2nd round picks here in my scenario and the 1st overall pick on Day 2. And a shorter termed, monster payout of Vegas money goes to Chris Harris Jr. in free agency to solidify our slot for the next couple years - we hope. Niners believed in Richard Sherman and his experience within that division and it's paying off - Grudock should look to do the same with Harris.

Linebacker was a tough go, but Nick Vigil is an underrated Guenther guy from Cincy that's good in coverage and solid enough against the run. Onwuasor lost playing time in Baltimore this year and had a big falling out with Harbaugh late in the season, but he can play. Solid against the run, and though he had trouble in coverage this past season, he's done a solid job in coverage in past seasons, so there's potential there, as well. Once again, we carry 4 LBs (really 3 being that Wilber should only play sparingly and under emergency), but Abram should help out @ sub-package LB, so we're fine. Younger, athletic LB bodies given a chance to be starters for a good team, on shorter termed contracts - realistic.

DT was easy. We all want Chris Jones, but he's more likely to be franchised and traded to somewhere in the NFC. So we fall back for Leonard Williams, one of the Top 10-15 defensive players available in free agency, and get a boost in interior impact. This is more than likely the lengthiest contract doled out and the most expensive, which is fine since it's premium position for our scheme and the player is young enough to keep improving - once coached up by Marinelli. Williams is a Raider fan, wanted to be drafted by the Raiders..he turns down similar money from the Giants and returns west to play with us. DE - the obvious..we have young starters that need to play a lot. Re-signing Jordan and Mayowa as their backups gives them some continuity as a group.

Offense..not much to see here. Ruggs is the dual fit in terms of personnel and scheme. Top 15 talent. Everyone benefits from his explosive presence on the field. Which brings me to our one big offensive FA addition - Robby Anderson - whom I despise. But the rumors that Grudock, and some on their staff, are big fans of Anderson's is true, or so I've been told. And he is one of the Top 15 free agents available according to PFF. He's had run in's with the law in the past, and I do hold some of those things against him, but I also have to give him at least some cred because he's taken steps to improve himself. Perhaps Waller can help Anderson stay on the right path? Anyway, I think they'll offer Anderson a strong 3 or 4 year offer for good money, but also an offer that'll allow them to release him for 0 dead money if he gets in trouble - something similar to Waller's contract, but more expensive. Mr. Dropsy aka Tyrell Williams - released.

A.J. Dillon is a big back from Boston College with move skills, power and decent hands - think Ty Wheatley. Brandon Aiyuk is somebody the that team is reportedly high on, his YAC ability and tendency to make big plays @ Z and in the slot. He and Pittman Jr. bolster the back end of the WR group. Both Aiyuk and Pittman Jr., physical guys, should be plug and play on special teams. O-line = run it back..we carry 7 into games given good health. Debated whether or not I should look for a new kicker, but they seem to be on board with Carlson. So what do you guys think? What would you change?
