NFL Conference Championship open game thread

NFL: Green Bay Packers at San Francisco 49ers Stan Szeto-USA TODAY Sports

Only four teams remain alive in the hunt for a Super Bowl victory, and we will know today who will be taking the field in two weeks on Super Bowl Sunday.

There are clear favorites in both games taking place today, with the Chiefs currently favored over the Titans by 7 points, and the 49ers sitting as an 8-point favorite over the Packers.

We’ve seen both of these matchups earlier this season, so each of these teams is relatively familiar with their opponent. The Titans stunned the Chiefs 35-32 in their first meeting, while San Francisco blew out Green Bay 37-8 in a game that ultimately secured them home field advantage.

Tennessee might be the hottest team in the league right now. After starting 2-4 with Marcus Mariota at quarterback, they’ve gone 9-3 with Ryan Tannehill in his place, knocking off the Patriots and Super Bowl favorite Ravens in consecutive weeks. They’ll be facing a high-powered offensive machine that just dropped 51 points in three quarters last Sunday, so it won’t be easy, but the AFC’s No. 6 seed has overcome the odds to this point.

Every Raider fan will clearly be rooting for the Titans, and it would be quite interesting if they continued their unexpected run.

San Francisco might be the most complete team in the NFL right now, and they looked quite good in their 27-10 dismantling of the Vikings last week. This go around, they face another NFC North foe; one who is looking for payback after getting dominated the last time these teams played.

Here’s your open game thread, ‘ya filthy animals. Who do you hate more, the Chiefs or 49ers?
