The Las Vegas Raiders got a boost on their defensive line when they activated defensive tackle Maliek Collins and defensive end Carl Nassib for the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Collins missed the Raiders’ Week 5 win at Kansas City with a shoulder injury and Nassib injured his big toe in that game. Both players practiced all week on a limited basis. They were both listed as questionable to play Sunday.

Quarterback Marcus Mariota, who was taken off the injured reserve this week, is inactive and Nathan Peterman will continue to be the backup to Derek Carr. If Mariota isn’t the backup next week, then Peterman will likely remain the backup for a while.

Defensive end David Irving is inactive for the game. He was promoted from the practice squad Saturday. He joined the organization this week. Irving has big pass-rush ability. but he hasn’t played in the NFL in two years.

Raiders’ rookie starting wide receiver Bryan Edwards is missing his third game with an ankle injury and backup cornerback Keisean Nixon is out with a groin injury.

The Raiders’ other inactive player Sunday is offensive lineman Patrick Omameh. Right tackle Trent Brown and safety Johnathan Abram are on the reserve/COVID-19 list and don’t count as inactives — but they both won’t play against Tampa Bay, either.
