UPDATE: Trent Brown and cornerback Damon Arnette were taken off the reserve/COVID-19 list on Friday afternoon. Arnette is still on the injured reserve with a hand injury,
The Las Vegas Raiders are expected to activate standout right tackle Trent Brown from the NFL’s reserve/COVID-19 list and he was on the practice field.
Therefore, it appears Brown could be on pace to play Sunday at the Cleveland Browns. But that decision could be made later.
Raiders coach Jon Gruden wouldn’t say if Brown will play Sunday. Friday’s practice was Browns first in three weeks because the Raiders had a bye in Week 6, so he may be rusty,
Brown was on the reserve/COVID-19 list for nine days. He missed the Raiders’ 45-20 home defeat to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. Earlier in the week, Gruden said he was hopeful Brown would be able to be activated and be able to play this week.
Brown has missed four games this season. He was out until Week 5 after injuring his calf on the first series of a Week 1 victory at the Carolina Panthers. Clearly, the Raiders’ offensive line plays at another level when the massive Brown is on the field.
So, that is a good sign for Sunday’s game against the Browns.
