It appears 2020 is becoming a lost season for Las Vegas Raiders standout right tackle Trent Brown. NFL Media reported on Sunday that Brown will remain out for at least a month.
The #Raiders placed OT Trent Brown on the reserve/COVID-19 list again this week & I’m told he’s expected to miss at least a month. LV said his placement on the list is related to COVID complications, but he also recently had a pre-game IV mishap that left him in the hospital.— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) November 8, 2020
If this timeline plays out, Brown will only return for the final four games of the season or so.
Brown has played just one full game, a Week 5 Raiders win at the Kansas City Chiefs. He missed all of training camp with a calf injury and he left a Week 1 win at the Carolina Panthers after just three snaps because of his calf issue. He was out until Week 5. He missed a Week 7 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers because he was on the reserve/COVID-19 list. He missed a Week 8 win at the Cleveland Browns after a pre-game IV mishap.
Brown was put back on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Thursday. Now, he will be out for an extended period of time.
Brown signed a four-year, $66 million deal with the Raiders in 2019. He missed five games last season.
