The Las Vegas Raiders are getting a huge boost for Sunday’s big AFC game against the visiting the Indianapolis Colts as right tackle Trent Brown, running back Josh Jacobs and safety Johnathan Abram are all active.
Brown hasn’t played since Week 5 because of COVID-19 issues. Jacobs (ankle) and Abram (Knee) both missed last week’s win over the New York Jets.
All three practiced either all or for most of last week, so this was the expected outcome. Of course, the 7-5 Raiders will need all three to beat the 8-4 Colts.
Rookie cornerback Damon Arnette was ruled out with a concussion on Friday. In addition to Arnette, the Raiders’ other inactive players Sunday are third-string quarterback Nathan Peterman, running back Theo Riddick, tackle Brandon Parker, guard John Simpson and pass-rusher Carl Nassib, who is a healthy scratch for the second straight week.
Safety Jeff Heath was put on the injured reserve Saturday with a concussion. He can’t return until Week 17. Defensive lineman Chris Smith was added to the 53-man roster and pass-rusher Vic Beasley was promoted from the practice squad.
