The Las Vegas Raiders will be represented on the AFC 2020 Pro Bowl team by tight end Darren Waller and running back Josh Jacobs.

Waller is having a monster season. He has 93 catches for 967 yards and he has eight touchdown catches. He’s also been red-hot lately, totaling 29 catches for 425 yards in the past three games.

The Raiders tight end is one of the most inspiring stories in the NFL having battled substance abuse, which led to a suspension by the league for the entire 2017 season. Waller was signed off the Baltimore Ravens’ practice squad in 2018, and caught the eye of Raiders’ offensive coordinator Greg Olson in pre-game warm ups.

Now, he is a Pro Bowler.

It is a bit of a surprise Jacobs made the Pro Bowl team because he is averaging 3.7 yards per carry, but he does have 10 touchdowns.

It is also a surprise that center Rodney Hudson didn’t make the cut. He is the leader of the Raiders and one of the best centers in the NFL.

Of course, there will not be a Pro Bowl game after this season because of the coronavirus pandemic. Instead, there will be virtual events to celebrate the 2020 selections.

The 2021 Pro Bowl is scheduled to be played at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas in January 2022.
