As expected, starting quarterback Derek Carr is active for the Las Vegas Raiders’ game against the Miami Dolphins on Saturday night.
Carr strained his groin in Week 15 against the Los Angeles Chargers in the first quarter and he did not return. It was reported that Carr would need 10 to 14 days of recovery, but he practiced last week and he wasn’t listed on the Raiders’ injury report Thursday, which was a strong indication he would play.
Backup Marcus Mariota is available if Carr has any issues.

Also, the Raiders activated defensive tackle Maliek Collins from the injured reserve and he will play against the Dolphins. The Raiders did not activate pass rusher Takk McKinley, so if he makes his Raiders’ debut, it will have to be in Week 17.
Safety Johnathan Abram and cornerback Damon Arnette will play after missing time with concussions. Linebackers Nick Kwiatkoski and Nicholas Morrow were not lifted off the reserve/COVID-19 list and they will not play. Rookie linebacker Javin White was promoted from the practice squad for the game.
Rookie wide receiver Henry Ruggs will play after missing last week’s game while on the COVID list.
The Raiders’ inactive players on Saturday night are defensive end Clelin Ferrell (shoulder), third-string quarterback Nathan Peterman, cornerback Amik Robertson, running back Theo Riddick, tackle Brandon Parker and defensive end Chris Smith.
