The Las Vegas Raiders added yet another player to the NFL’s reserve/COVID-19 list on Wednesday as they put backup running back and returner Jalen Richard on the list.
It is not known if Richard tested positive or is a close contact of someone who did test positive for the coronavirus. Still, Richard is likely out for Sunday’s season finale at the Denver Broncos. Theo Riddick will probably take his place behind starter Josh Jacobs and Devontae Booker. Richard is the 34th player the Raiders put on the COVID list this season, which is the third most in the NFL.
Meanwhile, cornerback Daryl Worley was taken off the list. Linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski and safety Erik Harris are still on the list.
Also, the Raiders put defensive end Clelin Ferrell on the injured/reserve. He was already ruled out of Sunday’s game with a shoulder injury he hurt in Week 14. The Raider plan to bring back safety Jeff Heath off the injured reserve in time for him to play Sunday.
Meanwhile, four key players missed practice with injuries. Right tackle Trent Brown (knee), guard Denzelle Good (ankle), defensive tackle Maurice Hurst (calf) and defensive back Lamarcus Joyner (thigh) all did not practice.
