The Raiders signed Jordan Devey to a one-year deal last year, and on Thursday, they brought him back.

The guard started two games at the beginning of the season when Richie Incognito was suspended and Gabe Jackson was hurt.

Devey is a valuable backup. The Raiders also signed veteran backup Eric Kush and re-signed Denzelle Good. They could be setting up for a competition to make the roster or the three could compete to start if the team parts with Jackson. Lester Cotton is on the roster as well

There have rumors all offseason that the Raiders could trade or cut Jackson, which would shed $9.6 million in salary cap room. The Raiders currently have just $5.2 million in cap room.

Devey, 32, joins Good, running back Rod Smith and linebacker Kyle Wilbur as players the Raiders have re-signed this offseason.
