You’ve probably heard every rumor by now, right? Well, with the draft quickly approaching, you’re likely going to hear every possible rumor imaginable between now and Thursday night. There may be some you like, and there may be some that you hate.
Here’s a rumor that’s bound to get people talking. According to Ben Standig of The Athletic, the Raiders could potentially take a swing at Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa if he falls past the sixth pick.
If Tagovailoa drops below six, one connected source believes the Las Vegas Raiders could sniff trade-up scenarios. Jon Gruden likes his quarterbacks, and it’s not certain Derek Carr or Marcus Mariota remain on the roster beyond 2020.
With quarterback not being a position of need, it’s tough to see the Raiders taking a chance early in the draft on an injury-riddled prospect like Tagovailoa, regardless of how high his upside is.
I’ll propose this question for everyone to vote on, in case this is a scenario that might happen.
Poll
If Tua falls and is on the board at No. 19, would you be OK if the Raiders drafted him?
