We’ve been digging into some of the Raiders’ undrafted free-agent signings (the team has not announced any of them yet). So, let’s look at receiver Siaosi Mariner out of Utah State.
He was a favorite target of Green Bay Packers’ first-round pick, quarterback Jordan Love, in 2019. Mariner had 62 catches for 976 yards and 10 touchdowns for the Aggies, and caught 41 passes for first downs. He was second-team All Mountain West and first team All-Academic Mountain West.
Mariner was a graduate transfer from Utah. He started 22 of 36 games for the Utes, one of the better programs in the country.
The Tustin, California native is 6’2, and 195 pounds. He is known for his steady hands and his ability to stretch out and make acrobatic catches.
As the Raiders loaded up in the draft at receiver, Mariner may have a difficult time making the regular-season roster, but he certainly is a strong candidate to make the practice squad.
