Raiders are underdogs more often than not in 2020

To wrap up “Underdog Week” at SB Nation, let’s look at the games in which the Las Vegas Raiders are betting underdogs.

Our friends over at DraftKings currently have lines on just five Raiders’ games in 2020.

The Raiders are slight favorites in Week 1 at Carolina and on Nov. 15 at home against Denver, but they are underdogs in the other three games on DraftKings current board:

Sept. 27, +5.5 points at New England

Dec. 6, +1.5 points at the New York Jets

Dec. 13, +1 point at home against the Indianapolis Colts.

The Raiders went 8-8 against the spread in 2019. They were 4-4 against the spread both at home and on the road. Their actual record, of course, was 7-9, which broke down to 5-3 at home and 2-6 on the road. Therefore, the Raiders were a slightly better betting team than their actual record showed last year.

With an improved roster, these three games where the Raiders are 2020 underdogs may be worth making an early bet if that’s your thing.
