DraftKings odds for Derek Carr’s 2020 season stats

Our friends at DraftKings have several NFL 2020 odds available on their online sportsbooks.

Among the more interesting current odds are player total odds, where you can bet whether players will achieve certain statistical plateaus. Raiders’ quarterback Derek Carr is among the players whose 2020 season DraftKings have placed odds on. (He is playing in Las Vegas, after all!)

The over/under on Carr’s passing yardage is 3,300.5 yards. The over/under on touchdown passes thrown by Carr this seasons is 19.5.

If betting is your thing, I’d think the overs on both of these specials is tempting. In fact, Carr’s totals are dramatically low.

He has surpassed the 3,300 passing yardage total in every season since his rookie year in 2014, when he missed the mark by 30 yards. He has averaged 23.8 touchdown passes in his six NFL seasons. Carr threw 21 touchdown passes in 2019. With added offensive weapons, Carr should be able to surpass these two total bets easily if he stays healthy.

Also, DraftKings has Carr listed as a 60-1 long shot to lead the NFL in passing yardage. I’m not sure about that bet, but lottery tickets are always worthy consideration.
