August 31

1:04 p.m.: Cornerback Logan Ryan signed with the Giants. The Raiders had contact with him earlier in the offseason. But the Raiders love their young corners.

August 27

11:04 a.m.: The Raiders had a walk-through practice today with no media access.

August 21

2:01 p.m.: This is pretty.

1:32 p.m.: Jaguars’ coach Doug Marrone is supporting Yannick NGakoue. I’m sure Jon Gruden would, too.

11;09 a.m.: Beautiful, just beautiful.

August 20

10:41 a.m.: The Jaguars are denying the Yannick Ngakoue trade talk.

9:32 .m.: Several Raiders missed Thursday’s practice.

August 19

11:51 a.m.: The NFL may consider a postseason “bubble’ environment

11:13 a.m.: What a bummer, no Raiderettes this season. They are a big part of the Raider experience.

9:03 a.m.: Fan noise may be piped into Allegiant Stadium this season.

8:41 a.m.: A key piece for the Chiefs will return to play the Raiders in Week 5.

August 18

1:57 p.m.: The Raiders made a minor roster move.

12:52 p.m.: The Raiders’ game at New England on September 27 will be played without fans, which is not a bad break for Las Vegas.

10:49 a.m.: One key Raider is back, one is still out.

9:03 a.m.: An update on Jadeveon Clowney. Raiders are a 4-3 defense by the way.

August 17 (happy birthday, Jon Gruden)

10:01 a.m.: The Raiders expect right tackle Trent Brown back to practice soon. Veteran Sam Young has been doing a decent job in his place.

10:42 a.m.: The daily coronavirus testing period has been extended to September 5, which is cut-down day.

10:02 a.m.: Jon Gruden had no update on Maxx Crosby and Rod Smith. They have been on the reserve/Covid-19 list for six days.

9:59 a.m.: Jon Gruden denied a report he “faked’ having the coronavirus in a team meeting.

8:45 a.m.: OMG. The Raiders have hit the helmet portion of training camp. Let’s gooooo.

3:12 p.m.: We’ll call this progress:

9:46 a.m.: With the college football season in peril, the NFL, of course, is lurking, with the idea of playing some Saturday games.

August 7

1:53 p.m.: As expected, the Raiders announced the signing of linebacker Bryce Hager. He spent his first five NFL seasons with the Rams. He is a good special teams player and is a solid replacement for the released Marquel Lee. Hagar reunites with Cory Littleton in Las Vegas.

1:34 p.m.: Raiders’ hope for HOF snubs.

9:12 a.m.: According to ESPN, the Raiders currently have the second lowest amount of salary-cap room for the 2020 season. So, that can get in the way of a Jadeveon Clowney pursuit.

August 6

11:36 a.m.: Just because it makes me laugh:

9:52 a.m.: Here’s a couple interesting Jadeveon Clowney tidbits. The Raiders still have a shot if they want.

2:21 p.m.: Ouch, Jason Witten.

2:02 p.m.: There no new Raiders’ developments on the coronavirus front Wednesday. Thursday is the deadline for players to opt out of the season.

9:32 a.m.: Former Raiders’ defensive end Dion Jordan is reportedly signing with the San Francisco 49ers. Yes, Jordan had some moments with the Raiders last year, but, clearly, the Raiders didn’t feel the need to bring him back. I’m OK with it.
