As expected, all that hand wringing over Trent Brown missing virtually all of training camp was for naught as the massive right tackle is set to play Sunday at Carolina in the Raiders’ season opener.
On Friday. Raiders coach Jon Gruden said “we’re in good shape and ready to go” and the team’s injury report reflected that. No Las Vegas player on the roster was listed as questionable. Brown was limited Wednesday with a calf injury that bothered him for more than a month, but he practiced fully Thursday and Friday.
Earlier in the week, rookie cornerback Damon Arnette (who is expected start Sunday) was limited with thumb and groin injuries, as was defensive tackle Maliek Collins (thigh). Both Arnette and Collins are also good to go for Sunday,
Guard Richie Incognito was limited Thursday and Friday with an achilles injury, but, he is currently expected to play Sunday. Therefore, this a very healthy 53-man roster heading into the season.
