Good news!
The NFL Network reported that the injury suffered by Raiders’ linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski in the 34-30 win at Carolina on Sunday is not as serious as it could have been.
#Raiders LB Nick Kwiatkoski did not suffer a torn pec yesterday, source said, with the MRI confirming the initial diagnosis. While he still could miss time, it’s not nearly as severe as it appeared. The team is still determining his timeline.

However, in his press briefing Monday afternoon, Raiders coach Jon Gruden didn’t offer any injury updates on Kwiatkoski or tackles Trent Brown (calf) and Sam Young (groin), and receiver Henry Ruggs III (lower leg).
Kwiatkoski, Brown and Young left the game and did not return. Ruggs did finish the game at least. Gruden said he is still gathering information, but did admit he is concerned about Brown’s injury without going into detail.
We may learn more about all of the injuries on Wednesday when the Raiders next practice. Still, don’t expect Gruden to give too much insight leading up to the New Orleans game next Monday night.
Even though the NFL Network report on Kwiatkoski is encouraging, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he misses some time.
If so, expect Cory Littleton, — an inside linebacker in the Rams’ 3-4 defense last season — to move to the middle and call the defensive plays. Nicholas Morrow would probably take Littleton’s spot and Raekwon McMillan would play when the Raiders are in the 4-3 base. Morrow played 46 snaps Sunday, while McMillan, acquired recently in a trade with Miami, played eight snaps.
