Las Vegas Raiders starters right tackle Trent Brown and Nick Kwiatkoski will not play tonight against the New Orleans Saints. They are both inactive.
The two players both missed every practice last week and were both listed as doubtful on the injury report on Saturday. Brown had a calf injury that kept him out of all but three plays in a win at Carolina in Week 1. Kwiatkoski hurt his pec in the game and did not return.
Denzelle Good will play for Brown (because backup Sam Young is also out) and Cory Littleton will take over Kwiatkoski’s role as the defensive player caller.
Brown has had a difficult time staying healthy since signing a huge contract with the Raiders in 2019.
Trent Brown (calf) out for Monday. Brown will now have 10+ snaps in only 10 of 18 games for #Raiders since signing 4-year, $66M deal. This will be 6th he missed. Left with injuries in 2. Raiders avg 18.2 ppg in 10 games he played extensive time; 23.6 in the games he mostly missed

Meanwhile, as expected, rookie receiver Henry Ruggs III is active and is expected to start. He missed all but one practice last week with a knee injury he played through in Week 1.

It’s a bit of a surprise rookie that cornerback Amik Robertson is inactive, but the Raiders are deep at the position with Nevin Lawson back from a suspension.
As expected, rookie linebacker Javin White, who was promoted from the practice squad today, is active.
