The Raiders’ long list of injury concerns may have hit the next level with starting rookie cornerback Damon Arnette possibly facing a long stay on the injured reserve with a thumb injury.
The NFL Network reported that Arnette re-injured his fractured thumb on Sunday in the loss at New England.
Bad news for the #Raiders defense: 1st-round CB Damon Arnette is visiting a thumb specialist today after falling awkwardly on it Sunday, sources say. The thumb re-injury could sideline him for a month & a half & put him on Injured Reserve. He’ll find out soon if it’s worst-case.

If Arnette is going to have to miss time, veteran Nevin Lawson will likely take over and start with Trayvon Mullen. With Arnette out, the Raiders could bring back veteran Prince Amukamara if they choose.
The Raiders will need all the help they can get in the secondary with Buffalo’s Josh Allen and Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes on the schedule in the next two weeks.
