Maybe Thursday will be the day there isn’t crushing Raiders’ injury news ... because Wednesday certainly isn’t it.
The NFL Network reported Wednesday morning that rookie starting receiver Bryan Edwards will not play Sunday against the 3-0 Buffalo Bills and he could miss multiple games with an ankle injury he suffered in a 36-20 loss at New England in Week 3.
Wait, that’s not all: The network also reported fellow rookies starting receiver Henry Ruggs III is probably out too with a hamstring injury. Ruggs, the No. 12 overall pick in the draft, missed the New England game.
Meanwhile, #Raiders rookie WR Henry Ruggs III is considered a long-shot to play Sunday while still dealing with a hamstring injury, source said. The 1st-round pick shouldn’t have an extended absence, but especially with speed guys, you’d like to get as close to 100% as possible. https://t.co/8wFJ58fIAb

Ruggs is expected back sooner than Edwards, but that doesn’t help much this week. Look for a heavy dose of Hunter Renfrow out of the slot, and anticipate Nelson Agholor and Zay Jones to start. If tight end Darren Waller is healthier than he was against New England, the Raiders will probably center their passing game around him and Renfrow.
The Raiders have been dealing with big injury issues. On Tuesday, the NFL Network reported that rookie, first-round pick, cornerback Damon Arnette could miss six weeks with a thumb injury.
The Raiders are hopeful right tackle Trent Brown (calf) and middle linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski (pec) can play against Buffalo. They have both been out since Week 1.
