Gus Bradley is bringing some friends with him to Las Vegas.
The Raiders’ new defensive coordinator is reportedly bringing linebackers coach Richard Smith and defensive backs coach Ron Milus (pictured above) with him. (Defensive line coach Rod Marinelli is remaining with the Raiders.)

There might be more changes to come, as well. The Raiders haven’t made any announcements about linebackers coach Dave Lippincott and secondary coach Jim O’Neill, they both still appeared on the team’s website Tuesday afternoon.

These changes made sense. Bradley, like Marinelli, has a history with Raiders coach Jon Gruden, so new coaches Smith and Milus are part of that tree ... and not connected to fired defensive coach Paul Guenther.
So, these moves makes it clear that Bradley is fully in charge of the defense. He said earlier in the day that he may bring some coaches with him from the Chargers and it has already happened.
Both Smith and Milus are longtime NFL coaches and have great respect around the league. Like Bradley and Marinelli, Smith, 66, has NFL defensive coordinator experience, so this is a well-seasoned coaching staff.
