Aaron Rodgers created a stir Sunday with comments about the uncertainty of his future in the wake of the Green Bay Packers’ loss in the NFC title game to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Rodgers’ future has been a major NFL topic of conversation since and there is speculation that he will try to move on from the Packers this offseason.
Aaron Rodgers’ future is not as much in the Packers’ hands as much as some think, even if he is contractually tied to Green Bay for the next three seasons. It’s just the opposite - Rodgers controls his own future, if he wants and if he is willing. pic.twitter.com/5dzMeID7Ao

The Packers’ QB situation will likely dominate the news cycle over the next several weeks and the speculation of potential landing spots has already begun. And, yes, the Raiders are being mentioned as a possible new home for the future Hall of Famer by, at least, one major outlet.

OK, then.
I wasn’t quite expecting that, but I’m not overly surprised the Raiders are being connected to Rodgers. I never say never when it comes to NFL moves, but I’m not quite sure the Raiders should be at the center of the Rodgers’ chatter. But still, I get it.
Folks around the league think Rodgers would be a Jon Gruden-like move and it does fit. I’m just not sure the Raiders are looking to replace Derek Carr, especially if trade compensation and a huge salary for his replacement are included.
Again. this Rodgers story will likely only get hotter, so, all we can do is see if the Raiders’ connection heats up as well.
This is yet another example that the Raiders are never, ever, boring.
