The Las Vegas Raiders are keeping wide receiver Keelan Doss in the program to start the 2021 season.

On Tuesday, the team announced they had signed Doss to a future contract for this season. Therefore, he will be with the team in the offseason program (if there is one) and in training camp.

This is Doss’ third season in the Raiders’ program. He signed with the team as an undrafted free agent in 2019 out of UC Davis. He was a good story because Doss was from Alameda, the same place where the team’s daily training facility was in the Bay Area and he was with the Raiders for their final season in Oakland before going to Las Vegas in 2020.

Doss shined in training camp and in the preseason as a rookie and was a darling of HBO’s Hard Knocks that summer.

Doss did not ultimately make the 53-man roster and went to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Yet again, he became free and the Raiders brought him back. Doss had 11 catches as a rookie.

He spent most of the 2020 season on the Raiders practice squad. Now, he will get a chance to further develop in 2021 as he tries to stick around with the team.
