The Raider Nation owned Qualcomm Stadium when the Chargers played there. And when they relocated for a short stint in Carson, it wasn’t even fair!
On Monday night, a new era begins in the Raider Nation’s road dominance in the Raiders-Chargers rivalry as it will be the first time the Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers play at SoFi Stadium in front of fans.
The expectation is that there will be way more Raiders fans in the stands than Chargers fans. According to Vivid Seats, Raiders fans are expected to account for 74 percent of the tickets on Monday night. Yes, three quarters of the fan base will be wearing Silver and Black. Fans are planning a “black out” at SoFi, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
It should be noted that in Week 2, the Chargers were forced into three false starts because Dallas Cowboys fans were so loud. Vivid Seats predict that the Raiders will have more fans at SoFi than Dallas did.
Raiders quarterback Derek Carr expects the Raider Nation to take over SoFi.
.@Raiders Derek Carr anticipates a home atmosphere at @SoFiStadium on Monday against the @chargers: "I fully expect Raider Nation to take over the stadium again. They usually do."
