The sports betting world changes quickly.

If a player or team has a sudden change of fortune positively or negatively, the odds shift is often swift. That has been the case for Las Vegas Raiders’ quarterback Derek Carr’s betting odds for the NFL MVP award.

After two straight losses in which the Raiders’ offense has struggled, Carr’s odds of being the this season’s NFL MVP have dropped to a whopping 65-1, according to our friends at the DraftKings sports Book. Buffalo Bills’ quarterback Josh Allen (4-1) and Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray 95-1) are the current betting MVP favorites.

After Carr was leading the NFL in passing yardage with 1,203 after three weeks, he became a hot name in the early MVP chase. His odds went to 28-1 after he had a preseason price of 70-1.

If you’re into betting, taking advantage of the two-week plunge could be beneficial for folks who want to back Carr now. The truth is, he is still second in the NFL in passing yards at 1,605 yards. So, if he bounces back, Carr can still put up special numbers this season.
