The Las Vegas Raiders and the Denver Broncos are in the same boat as they head into Sunday’s Week 6 meeting at Mile High.
Both teams were early feel good stories in the NFL as they both jumped out to 3-0 starts. In fact, they were the last two unbeaten teams in the AFC. Now seemingly suddenly both teams are looking up at the Los Angeles Chargers in the AFC West.
The Raiders — who are trying to come rebound from the shocking ouster of coach Jon Gruden on Monday — lost to the Chargers and the Chicago Bears in the past two weeks, while the Broncos took it on the chin against the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers (who the Raiders beat in the first two weeks of the season) in Weeks 4 and 5.
So, yes, both teams are stumbling into their meeting Sunday. Something will have to give. If the Raiders can bounce back and win this winnable game, they will look good at 4-2.
Let’s look at the key details of the Raiders-Broncos game:
Records: The Raiders are 3-2, the Broncos are 3-2.
