Running back Josh Jacobs was on a roll Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles. As abruptly as he began making plays, he was pulled out of the contest with a chest injury.
With the game tied, Raiders running back Josh Jacobs took matters into his own hands. With two great catches including a rumbling screen for a big gain to set the Raiders offense up on the Eagles’ front door. Jacobs capped off his excellent drive with a touchdown run, making a defender miss in the backfield and beating the defense to the corner for a score.
Raiders fans were excited to see Jacobs, who has dealt with foot issues this season, seemingly get back into form, and play like a first-round pick that he was in 2019. However, just as Jacobs was getting going, his status was called into question. Jacobs limped off the field immediately following the touchdown.
Jacobs worked with trainers momentarily before heading into the locker room with time remaining on the clock. The Raiders announced at halftime that Jacobs would not return Sunday.
