After an enjoyable bye week, the 5-2 Las Vegas Raiders are now fully focused on the rest of the season.

That resumes Sunday at the New York Giants. Kickoff is at 10 a.m. PT. Let’s take an early-week look at the Raiders’ Week 9 opponent.

Giants record: They are 2-6.

New York’s last game: The Giants played at the Kansas City Chiefs (who the Raiders play in Week 10) on Monday night in a 20-17 loss.

Weird advantage: Even though, the Raiders must fly across the country, They may be the more rested team as crazy as that sounds. The Giants are playing on a short week and had to travel through the night onto Tuesday morning. The Raiders will have two weeks rest.

Early-morning work: This is the Raiders’ second early start of the season (they won at Pittsburgh in Week 2). They have two more 10 a.m. starts (Week 17 at the Chiefs and Week 17 at the Indianapolis Colts).

Early injury report: The Giants hope running back Saquon Barkley can return from ankle, knee injuries that have check him out since October 10 in this game.

Another bad team: This is another great opportunity for the Raiders. This is their third straight game against a bad team and they have easily beaten the Denver Broncos and Philadelphia Eagles in the first two. This is the time for the Raiders to build their playoff case.
