Silver Minings: Raiders host Zoom call with free agent DeSean Jackson

The LA Rams released the wide receiver on Nov. 2

The Las Vegas Raiders only have four active wide receivers with all the fallout from the Henry Ruggs DUI fatal crash. The Raiders are shopping and looking for upgrades at a position of need.

That due diligence began on Saturday where the Raiders hosted a Zoom call with DeSean Jackson, who the Los Angeles Rams just released.

Jackson didn’t see many targets in LA and wanted to go somewhere he would get more action. He still averaged 27.5 yards per catch but only had eight receptions on the season. With Jackson purely a one-trick pony at this point, it will be interesting to see if he will get the targets he is looking for in Greg Olson’s offense.

The Raiders are also a part of the Odell Beckham Jr. rumors, even though beat writers have been attempting to shut that down for a while. We will see what the team is thinking after the following Monday.
