Again, there goes any hope of an offseason without Raiders’ quarterback rumors.
A week after there was talk of a Derek Carr trade that could result in the Las Vegas Raiders landing Houston Texans’ quarterback Deshaun Watson, we now have Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson being connected to the Raiders.
Oh boy.
CBS Sports broke down why it think Wilson — who may or may not want a trade from Seattle — could be attracted to the Raiders and why Las Vegas may be the best fit for Wilson.
There is one potential trade destination for Russell Wilson I keep coming back to the more I keep digging. Here are the many reasons why: https://t.co/4Lbt0k1lTR

For what it’s worth, the Raiders are the betting favorite to land Wilson by PointsBetUSA.
Meanwhile, Carr’s older brother, David Carr, said the Raiders have turned down offers for Derek Carr.

I know, there is a lot to unpack here,
My overall approach on a Wilson trade is similar to the Carr and Watson talk: It all seems unlikely, but let’s see what develops.
A source close to the situation told Silver and Black Pride on Wednesday that the Seahawks do not currently want to deal Wilson and if that changes, they will want a LOT from the Raiders — or any team — wanting to acquire him.
The big issue remains the same as with any Carr trade — he is not the problem and the Raiders need defense. Therefore, spending more at quarterback and giving away a bunch of draft picks for Wilson or Watson or for whoever, doesn’t make sense.
Wilson will turn 33 in November and he makes $35 million a season. Sure, he’s an elite quarterback for now, but I’m not sure a pursuit is in the Raiders’ best interest.
But all these quarterback rumor mills clearly aren’t interested in what I think. So, let’s just wait for the next rumor, and believe me, there will be something.
