Josh Jacobs turned 23 on Thursday and the Raiders were quick to wish him a happy birthday.

Yes, the dude is just 23. Of course, we knew Jacobs wasn’t an old man, but it’s stunning to consider what the Las Vegas Raiders’ star running back has accomplished before his 23rd birthday.

He is already a top-level NFL running back. Jacobs, the No. 24 overall pick in the 2019 draft, has 2,215 rushing yards and 19 rushing touchdowns in 28 NFL games.

This is a workhorse who the Raiders will surely eventually give the fifth-year option to and likely give a contract extension to.

Jacobs is the engine of the Las Vegas offense — running backs don’t play forever, but there is still plenty of tread of those young tires of Jacobs’.
