Silver Minings: A reminder of how effective Derek Carr has been

Raiders’ QB stats from the past three seasons stick out

Nationally, it seems like a lot of folks don’t give Derek Carr the credit he deserves.

Often, his accomplishments fly under the radar and there is a faction that wants the Las Vegas Raiders to try to replace Carr every offseason.

Yet, this stat from CBS should give us all some perspective regarding Carr’s achievements.

Along with Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Carr has thrown for at least 4,000 yards and thrown less than 10 interceptions in each of the past three seasons. No other NFL quarterback can claim that achievement.

That’s pretty impressive!

Those two stats alone aren’t the only factors in making a great NFL quarterback, but they do illustrate that Carr has been both prolific and accurate, which are great traits.

So, this is just another example that Carr probably gets bashed too much.
