Same plan, just a year later.
Country music star Garth Brooks was supposed to open Allegiant Stadium last August before the Las Vegas Raiders’ season.
Of course, the show was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. It has now been pushed back from later this month to July. Officials in Las Vegas are hopeful the sold-out concert will go on.
If so, that, of course, bodes well for the Raiders playing their 2021 home games in front of fans. The Raiders’ first season in Las Vegas was played at an empty Allegiant Stadium. The UNLV football team played some games in front of small crowds at Allegiant Stadium last fall.
Let’s all hope the third time is the charm for the Brooks’ concert and that opens the stadium for good.
