Now, that we have had a day to digest the bombshell news that the Las Vegas Raiders are one of four teams Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson would approve a trade to, we need to hear from you all.
Do you think the Raiders should pursue a trade for Wilson?
Wilson this week that he would also welcome a trade to the Chicago Bears, Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints.
The thought is certainly enticing. Adding a future Hall of Fame quarterback who is still playing at an elite level has to be considered.
But it’s not that easy, especially taking into account these issues:
- Wilson will be 33 this year and Raiders’ starter Derek Carr will turn 30.
- Wilson makes $10 million more a season than Carr does.
- The Seahawks may want up to three first-round picks plus Carr for Wilson.
- The extra salary-cap cost at quarterback and loss of draft picks will make it difficult to improve the Las Vegas defense, which badly needs help.
So, there are a lot of factors to consider. Now, it’s your time to express your thoughts in our poll. Thanks for playing along.
