We all know it wasn’t a great 2020 season for the Las Vegas Raiders’ rookie class.
We received a reminder of that as ESPN re-drafted the first two rounds of the 2020 draft and the Raiders’ picks were noteworthy.
Of course, Las Vegas drafted Alabama wide receiver Henry Ruggs III with the No. 12 overall pick and then took Ohio State cornerback Damon Arnette.
In this re-draft, the Raiders instead take Los Angeles Chargers linebacker Kenneth Murray at No. 12 and Ruggs at No. 19.
Ruggs was the first receiver taken last April. He was the sixth taken in this re-draft. Arnette wasn’t taken in the two-round ESPN re-draft.
Ouch.
It’s not great, but if Ruggs and Arnette take big strides in 2021, not much will be remembered about their shaky rookie seasons. But, there’s no doubt, they do need to pick it up.
