While the Las Vegas Raiders may cut some bigger name players this month for salary cap reasons. they did release three players on Monday.

Certainly, the names of Ukeme Eligwe, Jeremiah Valoaga and D.J. Killings won’t rock the Raider Nation. But together, there is some interest and it has created a small buzz.
The fact these three players were all cut on the same day was either a coincidence or a subtle message from the team.
Eligwe, Valoaga and Killings all opted out of the 2020 season because of the coronavirus pandemic. The NFL allowed players to do so and several around the league did, indeed, opt out although this trio were Raiders players to do so. And now they are all former Raiders players on the same day.
Is it a big deal either way? No, not really. None of the three likely would have made the 53-man roster in 2020 and none of them would likely be in the team’s plans for 2021 anyway.
