Clemson held its pro day on Thursday, which is basically a national holiday for the Las Vegas Raiders as we all know how much Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock love their Clemson Tigers.

They drafted defensive end Clelin Ferrell, cornerback Trayvon Mullen and wide receiver Hunter Renfrow in 2019, then linebacker Tanner Muse and guard John Simpson last year.

It would not be a surprise if the Raiders’ Clemson streak continues in this year’s draft. One name to consider is tackle Jackson Carman, who just had a great pro day.

Of course, the Raiders have a need at right tackle with Trent Brown being traded to the New England Patriots. So a Carman fit makes a lot of sense. I’m sure we’ll be talking more about the Raiders and Clemson players as the April 29-May 1 draft approaches.

In other Raiders’ links:

  • Another vet CB out there: The New Orleans Saints have cut cornerback Janoris Jenkins. Perhaps the Raiders will show interest.
